For the majority of people, flu is considered normal and included only light illness. Stay of rest and take medicine and then cured. Many others are still doing business as usual when suffering from flu.

In fact, according to World Health Organization (WHO), every year there are five million people are hospitalized because of severe flu, aka influenza. In fact 500,000 people worldwide die from flu and its complications!

Influenza epidemics that occur every year can affect anyone, but there are certain groups that have a high risk of influenza complications. Groups include children aged less than two years, people aged over 65 years, pregnant women, people with chronic diseases, and medical service officers.

More than 90 percent of deaths from influenza occurred in the age group over 65 years old. they have low body immunity so that it can lead to complications of pneumonia, some even cause infections of the heart.

Patients with chronic diseases like heart disease, lung or asthma are also potentially more likely to suffer complications from influenza. Meanwhile, the medical services personnel such as doctors, nurses, or midwives are also vulnerable to exposure to influenza virus and spread it to other patients.

Primary way to prevent against flu is to keep the immune system and clean life. Eating a nutritious food and do not forget the fruit. Frequent hand washing with soap is also recommended because the virus can spread through direct contact.

Patients with influenza are also advised to rest at home until the disease is cured. In addition to accelerating healing, rest at home also can prevent transmission of disease to others -very bad if the service at the office is disrupted because many employees have the flu!
