These are great tips for advancing a child's intelligence but turning one into a genius also takes the right combination of genetics.

In my accelerated classes for gifted kids, I've seen children from good families stimulated to excel. I've also seen families who have kids in the gifted program with siblings who struggle (even twins). Also, I've seen adopted kids from the same family fair differently, and I don't believe they are being treated differently (especially when the older child struggles in school while the younger is highly gifted).

I love your tips and you're on to something, but "genius" is reaching. Parents sometimes do everything right and end up with children who have difficulty in school, while others do everything wrong but end up with kids who excel. It's the old nature vs. nurture and one needs a good mix of both!
