Type of Tea and Its Benefits

Tea has several types. Type of tea can be categorized based on how to make / manufacture. Because, from a variety of variations exist, all derived from the same tree named Camelia Sinensis, which is a bush type plant originated from India and China. Based on manufacturing technology, we can see the difference in benefits.

Green tea
It is made by steaming the raw tea leaves immediately after plucking. Processing was stopped with the tea leaves have experienced minimal oxidation. Black Tea

White Tea
Made from top tea leaves that have not undergone the process of oxidation and when not picked protected from direct sunlight to prevent formation of chlorophyll. White tea is produced in smaller amount than other types of tea so that prices become more expensive. This tea contains the most powerful anti-cancer than other tea types.

Oolong Tea
Oolong tea oxidation process requires 2-3 days. Wuyi (one of Oolong tea type) promoted to lose weight. Unfortunately, this campaign has not been supported by scientific evidence. In a study mentioned, Oolong tea antioxidants was able to reduce levels of LDL (bad cholesterol).

Pu-erh tea

Herbal tea
Unlike other types of tea, herbal tea is not only made from tea leaves. But also mixed with fruit, seeds, and certain roots (in accordance with the objectives and benefits). Herbal tea antioxidant content is lower than green tea, white, or Oolong. Health effects of herbal tea is very diverse. For example chamomile tea is said to prevent complications from diabetes, nerve and kidney damage, as well as against cancer cells.
