The Benefits of Hydrotherapy

Water is very beneficial for life. All living things depend on water for life. Drinking water regularly is not only beneficial for relieving thirst but also be able to overcome constipation, as well as to cleanse the system, thin the blood and cleanse toxins. Normally, drinking six to eight glasses of water every day is essential for digesting and dissolving food and nutrition, so it can be absorbed and utilized the body. In addition to drinking, water can also be used as a therapeutic tool that can improve our health condition.

Water therapy also known as hydrotherapy can be effective in the treatment of insomnia. Rub a little warm water to the back and spine before going to bed, and soak feet in warm water and bath with neutral water (mixed hot and cold water) for 1 hour each day to overcome insomnia and depression.

Steam baths can help reduce arthritis, rheumatism, gout and obesity problems. Before that, we should drink one or two glasses of cold water and cover our head with a cold towel. The duration of steam shower about 10-20 minutes or until out of sweat. Steam baths are helpful except in patients suffering from hypertension and other circulatory disorders.

Hydrotherapy can also be used to reduce excess cholesterol. The trick is to take a cold shower, sitting for 10 minutes two times every day.

Wow! I need to drink more water. I get bad bouts of insomnia and if water can help... Could you please explain in more details how soaking your in feet in warm water at night can help overcome insomnia?
