Hypertension is the medical term for high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a situation where blood pressure arises above normal and remains steady. High blood pressure directly increases the risk of coronary heart disease (which leads to heart attack) and stroke, especially along with other risk factors.

What Causes High Blood Pressure
The causes of high blood pressure is unknown in fact, we can have high blood pressure for years without knowing it. Factors that may lead to high blood pressure, which are known as secondary hypertension, include: kidney abnormality, a structural abnormality of aorta,and narrowing of certain arteries.
